Create & Connect – Geelong
We will be hosting a 2-day Create & Connect workshop in Geelong, catering for those aged 14 – 17 years old.
Our first day, Thursday 6 July will be a Junkyard Jungle Workshop, where participants have the opportunity to make art, make friends and make your mark on the world!
Using recycled materials, collage and sculptures we will bring our stories to life. A fun creative supportive workshop opportunity, that builds connection through facilitated activities.
When we take the time to pause and look inside we can be reminded of the strengths we already have . By sharing our stories we can connect to ourselves and others. We can celebrate the parts that are already there and imagine what it would be like to have others.
This workshop will use drawing, storytelling and sculpture to create individual jungle creatures out of recycled materials and develop artistic skills along the way. Participants will explore their strengths and develop new modes of expressing themselves while making friends in a fun supportive and collaborative workshop.
The second day, Friday 7 July, will be a different workshop.
All participants will also be invited to a Create and Re-Connect Zoom a month after their workshop. This will be a way to reconnect and strengthen relationships in the group.
