Join us to share your voice and creativity with the world by being part of a new, very exciting interactive mural project at the Satellite Office HQ.
Led by artist (and Satellite Squad member) Maya Tran, with the incredible animator Isobel Knowles and sound designer Hannah Moon, we are co-creating a mural that will include animations and the voices of young people in an augmented-reality interactive design.
There are three opportunities to be involved in our interactive mural project for Satellite’s HQ: be part of a design workshop, share your voice as part of the storytelling and animation workshop, or come along for the painting day. Hang out, have fun, and express yourself permanently on our office walls.
1. Interactive Mural Design Workshop – Online
Learn about mural making and create an abstract shape using colour to express yourself and contribute a visual element to the final mural design. We have a total of 10 spaces available – so register today!
When: Thursday 5 October 4.00 pm-5.30 pm

What: Paid opportunity $100 per participant.
Who: Satellite Squad members aged 8 and above

2. Interactive Mural Painting Day – In Person
An invitation to come and paint the walls at the Satellite office with Madeleine and Maya.
When: Thursday 2 November 10.00 am – 3.00 pm
Where: Satellite HQ, 22 Easey Street, Collingwood
Who: Satellite participants aged 18+

3. Animation/Storytelling/Sound Workshop with Hannah Moon – In person
This workshop will have three creative stations where participants can get involved. The first station will be an audio recording set up where young people can record their stories with Hannah Moon – there will be a series of questions to prompt participants. The second station will be set up for experimental stop motion animation where participants can develop an animated element that will form part of the interactive mural. The third station will offer participants the chance to be part of a Satellite photoshoot.
