Calling All Creators! Submit Your Work to “All The Coloured Glasses” Zine Project!
The Satellite Zine Project “All the Coloured Glasses” is an ever-evolving creative project that was recently funded by Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation. The aim is to provide a space where individuals can share their voices, stories, and art around the themes of mental health and wellbeing with the wider world.
Did you know that Zines have been a radical form of self-publishing used to share political and social ideas and as a tool for advocacy since the 1930s?
So far, this growing project has published 20 Zines and 2 Anthologies, featuring over 120 creative works. And we can’t wait to share and amplify more voices and perspectives!
We are currently looking for writing, poetry, drawing, photography, collages, and quotes that explore your experiences navigating the complex world of mental health. We would love to include your artwork in our collection!
By submitting your work, you can be part of this project and contribute to future anthologies. Your work will be featured in a Zine and shared publicly through our unique Zine Vending Machine. Artwork will be transformed into mini zines, badges, and compilations, all contributing to our ongoing anthologies.
Satellite Foundation uses creativity to build community and connection through storytelling. We know mental health is complex, and there’s no wrong way to share these journeys. Through engaging with young people’s experiences, we challenge stigma, foster empathy, and work towards changing awareness and advocacy.
Traditionally serving as a platform for advocacy, zines are now designed to reach far and wide. As part of a significant anthology, our mini zines will reside in the Satellite Zine Machine and contribute to an interactive artwork experience.
