Satellite needs your help to call out stigma!

Help us call out stigma by sharing your story! Create a short video answering the following questions:

  • How does stigma affect you?
  • Where have you experienced stigma?
  • How can we fight stigma?

Your voice will join an online conversation to raise awareness of stigma, spark change, and direct people to the StigmaBeat project resources, during Mental Health Month in October.

What’s needed?

  • Aged 18 years and over
  • Supporting family with mental health challenges
  • Willing to share your content with the general public
  • Able to access a phone or similar tech to facilitate a video recording. If you don’t have access, please let us know

For your video submission, you will go into a

This will be drawn and provided in time for launch on October 10.

the nitty gritty

  • Find a well-lit, quiet spot.
  • Shoot your video in portrait mode (9:16).
  • No naming and shaming. Instead, describe the setting such as a hospital, doctor’s clinic,
    school, supermarket, at home, etc.
  • Don’t worry about editing. Send the raw file. We will sort it out!
  • Keep it real; keep it honest.
  • Maximum 30 seconds in length
  • Sharing experiences of stigma may incur feelings of distress. Here are suggested
