Creating ChangeOur Impact

The Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System identified that children and young people with a parent or carer with a mental illness are:

  • At greater risk of experiencing mental illness and/or social isolation
  • Less likely to complete education and/or training
  • Likely to take on responsibilities beyond what's expected for their age

The Royal Commission identified these young people need support for their long-term wellbeing. Satellite Foundation is this dedicated support. Over the last 10+ years, our programs and activities have:

  • Facilitated effective support and connection between participants, helping them to feel less alone
  • Created opportunities where our participants shape and contribute to programs for others just like them
  • Shared and amplified the wisdom of our participants
  • Reached more children and young people than ever
"Satellite was our lifeline."
