Terms and conditions:  Creative Challenge “The World I Want to See”

1. Promoter

The promoter of this Creative Challenge (Challenge) is Satellite Foundation, ABN 89 132 053 180, of 22 Easey Street Collingwood, Melbourne, VIC 3066 (Satellite, we, us or our). Questions about the Challenge can be directed to [email protected]

2. Challenge Period

The Challenge opens at 6:00pm (AEST) on 3 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on 28 August 2026 (Wear It Purple Day) (Challenge Period).

Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted, regardless of when they were sent or attempted to be sent.

3. Eligibility

The Challenge is open to individuals who:

• are aged 18–25 years (inclusive) at the time of entry;
• are residents of Victoria, Australia; and
• submit an entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Employees, contractors, board members and immediate family members of Satellite Foundation may enter but are not eligible to receive the prize.

Entry is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

• complete the official online entry form; and
• submit one original creative response to the prompt: “Imagine a world where everyone feels accepted. What does it look like?“

Accepted formats include:

• Photography
• Drawing or illustration
• Digital collage
• Short poem
• Creative writing (maximum 500 words)
• Audio recording
• Short video (maximum 60 seconds)

Participants may submit more than one entry, provided each entry is a separate and original creative response. Multiple entries do not increase a participant’s chance of winning beyond the merits of each individual entry, and only one prize will be awarded in total.

5. Original Work

By entering, participants confirm that:

• the work is their own original creation and has not been copied, in whole or part, from another source;
• the work does not infringe another person’s intellectual property rights or any other legal rights;
• any identifiable people appearing in the work (other than the participant) have consented to the work being submitted, published and used as described in these Terms and Conditions; and
• if the participant is submitting work on behalf of, or featuring, another person, they have that person’s authority to give the above consents.

Satellite may request evidence of consent or originality at its discretion and may remove an entry if such evidence is not provided within a reasonable time.

6. Judging

The winner will be selected by a judging panel appointed by Satellite.

Entries will be assessed on:

• interpretation of the challenge prompt;
• creativity and originality; and
• overall impact of the submission.

Technical or artistic skill will not be the primary basis for judging. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Prize

One winner will receive:

Two (2) tickets to see Alice Oseman live in Melbourne (approximate total value: $135, including GST). Event date, venue and ticket details will be confirmed with the winner and are subject to availability and to the event proceeding as planned; Satellite is not responsible for any changes made by the event organiser or venue.

The prize:

• is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash;
• must be taken as offered and cannot be varied at the winner’s request; and
• if unavailable for reasons beyond Satellite’s control, may be substituted by Satellite with a prize of equal or greater value, at Satellite’s discretion.

Any costs associated with attending the event that are not part of the stated prize (e.g. travel, accommodation, meals) are the winner’s responsibility.

8. Winner Notification

The winner will be notified using the contact details provided on their entry form (by email and/or phone) within 3 business days of judging, in early September 2026, and may also be announced on Satellite’s website and/or social media channels (first name/preferred name or handle only, unless the winner consents to further identification).

If the winner cannot be contacted using the details provided, or does not respond, within seven (7) days of the first notification attempt, the prize may be forfeited and Satellite may select another eligible winner from the remaining entries.

9. Use of Entries

Participants retain ownership and copyright of their creative work.

By entering the Challenge, participants grant Satellite a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, for the life of the copyright in the work, to reproduce, publish, adapt (for formatting purposes only) and communicate their submitted work for promotional, educational and marketing purposes related to Satellite Foundation, including on:

• Satellite’s website;
• social media channels;
• digital and printed promotional materials;
• online galleries; and
• future campaigns highlighting the Challenge.

Where reasonably practicable, Satellite will credit participants using their preferred name or social media handle. To the extent permitted by law, participants consent to any act or omission by Satellite that would otherwise infringe their moral rights in the work, where such act or omission is consistent with the uses described in this clause.

10. Consent to Feature

During the entry process, participants may choose whether they consent to their work being publicly featured (as described in clause 9).

Choosing not to provide this consent will not affect eligibility to enter or to win the prize. Where a participant does not consent to their work being publicly featured, Satellite will still be entitled to use the entry internally for the purposes of administering and judging the Challenge.

11. Privacy

Satellite collects personal information to administer the Challenge, verify eligibility, contact entrants (including the winner) and, where consented to, feature entrants’ creative work. Satellite handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and Satellite’s Privacy Policy.

Participants may request access to, or correction of, their personal information, or ask questions about how it is handled, by contacting [email protected] If a participant does not provide the personal information requested on the entry form, Satellite may not be able to accept their entry.

12. Disqualification

Satellite reserves the right to remove, disqualify or refuse to accept entries (in whole or part) that:

• are incomplete or do not otherwise meet these Terms and Conditions;
• contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or unlawful material;
• infringe another person’s rights (including intellectual property, privacy or moral rights); or
• have been obtained through fraud, hacking or other unfair entry methods.

Satellite also reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or engages in conduct that is deemed by Satellite to be a breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise unfair, threatening, abusive or in breach of any applicable law.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph below, Satellite (including its officers, employees, agents and contractors) excludes all liability (including for negligence) for any loss, damage, cost or expense, whether direct or indirect, arising from a participant’s entry, the Challenge, or acceptance or use of the prize, including for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or corrupted entries or technical failures beyond Satellite’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on a participant under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

14. Instagram

Participants are welcome to share their entries on Instagram using #TheWorldIWantToSee and tagging @SatelliteFoundation. Sharing on Instagram is optional and is not a condition of entry or judging.

This Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Participants release Instagram and Meta from any and all liability in connection with the Challenge.

15. General

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and participants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Satellite reserves the right, at its discretion, to vary, suspend or cancel the Challenge or these Terms and Conditions if it becomes necessary to do so for reasons beyond its reasonable control, subject to any written directions issued under applicable law.

Privacy Collection Notice

Satellite Foundation collects your personal information to administer this Creative Challenge, verify your eligibility, contact you if you are selected as the winner and, where you consent, feature your creative work in campaign materials. Your information will be handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and our Privacy Policy . If you have questions about how your information is handled, contact [email protected]
