A Message from Rose Cuff, CEO & Co-Founder

As 2025 draws to a close, Rose Cuff has shared her final message as CEO of Satellite.
In her End of Year message, Rose reflects on nearly two decades of Satellite’s journey — from a small, bold idea shaped by listening to children and young people, to a strong, creative and deeply connected community supporting families navigating mental health challenges.
Rose expresses her gratitude to the children, young people, families, staff, volunteers, Board members, partners and supporters who have shaped Satellite’s work over the years, and shares that while she is stepping down as CEO, she will continue to support the organisation as a Board Director.
The message also looks ahead to Satellite’s next chapter, with the Board set to announce the organisation’s new CEO very shortly.
As we move into the holiday period, Rose acknowledges that this time of year can bring mixed emotions, and encourages our community to take gentle care of themselves and each other.
“Today marks my final day as CEO of Satellite — a moment filled with deep gratitude and reflection.
For nearly two decades, Satellite has been my life’s work. What began as a small, bold idea shaped by listening to children and young people navigating family mental health challenges has grown into a strong, creative and deeply connected community. I am incredibly proud of what Satellite has become.
It has been a privilege to walk alongside such extraordinary young people and families over such a long period of time, and to work with a community of thoughtful, committed people who believe — as I do — that children and young people deserve to be seen, heard and supported.
To our participants, thank you for trusting Satellite with your stories and lived experience. Your insight, resilience and wisdom sit at the heart of everything we do.
To our staff, volunteers, Board members, partners and supporters — past and present — thank you for your care, determination and belief in what’s possible.
While today marks the end of my role as CEO, I’m pleased to share that I will continue with Satellite as a Board Director, supporting the organisation into its next chapter. Satellite is in strong and caring hands.
I’m also very pleased to share that the Satellite Board will be announcing Satellite’s new CEO very shortly. I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead and confident in the leadership and vision that will guide Satellite into its next chapter.
As we move into the holiday period, I want to acknowledge that this time can be joyful for some and difficult for others. Please take gentle care of yourselves and each other.
