Connecting Activities

Connecting Activities are only available to participants who’ve already completed a Satellite program, workshop, or activity. They’re a great way for young people to stay connected to new friends and to the Satellite family between programs and workshops.

Types of activities

The focus is on fun, creative and adventurous activities with plenty of space to talk to friends, peers, and the Satellite staff about their feelings or if anything’s worrying them.

Participants get to choose their program or workshop based on their age and interests.

Examples of past activities:

  • jumping sky-high with trampolining
  • sharing delicious picnics
  • seeing the latest movies
  • going bowling
  • visiting the museum
  • sharing favourite music
  • Satellite Camp catchups
  • having Zoom get-togethers just to chat

Who can join in?

These Connecting Activities run across all the Satellite programs, but they aren’t open to the public like the other programs and workshops.

If participants have already done a program with us, they’re welcome to select from the range of activities, join in the fun and stay connected to the Satellite family in an ongoing way.

Some young people have been with us for 10 years!
