Welcome to our Board Observers

Satellite is thrilled to welcome two young people as Observers to our Board for 2023, as part of The Observership Program which provides training and practical experience in not-for-profit board leadership.

We formally welcomed Sarah Paterson and Hameed Kahn as Board Observers to Satellite Foundation at the launch of The Observership Program in the beautiful Great Hall at the NVG in Melbourne on 15 February.

Sarah Paterson is an experienced Business Manager, overseeing operational delivery and system improvement within the construction industry and professional services environments. Sarah’s particular interest lies in business transformation, financial turnaround and developing strategic direction, enabling greater cultural outcomes. She previously served as a Director on the Empowered Women In Trades Board. Personally, Sarah is a lifelong horse rider bringing her Irish Wolfhound Elly along with her.

Hameed Khan is a technology leader with experience in developing technology strategies and being part of delivery teams in large-scale technology programs. He is passionate about mental health and education, and as such, he has been involved in advising NFP organisations, mentoring university students and delivering workshops to disadvantaged schools. In his downtime, Hameed enjoys photography and local travel.

We are so excited and grateful about having Sarah and Hameed as Board Observers, to share time with us as we expand Satellite and learn from each other.
