Celebrating the Launch of Young Carer Voices in Action: YAC Podcast Special & Zine

Satellite hosted the launch of Young Carer Voices in Action: YAC Podcast Special & Zine with a special event at Satellite’s office, welcoming guests from across the mental health sector.

On Tuesday 11 August, Satellite launched two co-created projects developed through Satellite’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC): In Orbit Together, a standalone podcast episode that explores connection and lived experience, and Recognising Your Orbit, an interactive zine designed to support young people to better understand and recognise their caring roles and needs.

During the event, YAC members introduced the projects and shared more about the ideas and experiences behind them. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a sneak peek of the podcast episode and explore the printed version of the new zine.

Satellite is incredibly proud of the hard work of YAC members, who made these projects possible. These two resources will help amplify the voices of young people with caring responsibilities and advocate for greater recognition and support for young carers.
