Satellite partners with Wellways for family and carer-led centres

Satellite is super excited to announce that we’ll be working alongside Wellways Australia to co-design two of the eight new Family and Carer-led Centres that are opening across Victoria during 2023!
The opening of these Centres delivers on a key recommendation of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.
The Centres will be led by staff who have lived experience supporting someone with mental health challenges and will provide a warm and welcoming space available to families, carers and supporters of all ages, with no need for a referral.
The Family and Carer-led Centres will operate according to a service delivery model that was co-designed by Tandem Carers in partnership with family members, carers and supporters across Victoria during 2022.
Wellways is the lead provider for Gippsland, partnering with Satellite, as well as South Western region where we will also work with Bethany Support Services.
Our partnering role will mean the voices of young people will be included from the beginning in the co-design process and beyond. Watch this space!
